This 4-day course is based on the new CSA standard F-280-12 “Determining the Required Capacity of Residential Space Heating and Cooling Appliances” a nationally recognized standard that is referenced by all Canadian Building Codes. This course takes students through step-by-step calculations to help them determine the required or appropriate appliances after understanding the heat loss and heat gain in the building envelope. The calculation includes examining above and below-grade HLHG, air leakage and ventilation, and the influence that people, appliances, and window shading have on the system. The Best Part: With the successful completion of this course, participants will be recognized by municipal building officials and plan examiners for having the technical competency needed to perform residential load calculations and select the appropriate HVAC appliances. A digital “Residential Heat Loss/Heat Gain Calculations” Course Manual is included with your registration fee. For a Hard Copy Manual, a $35 fee is added to your registration fee to assist with the shipping charges. |
