New Brunswick passed a prompt payment and adjudication law in June 2023. This will be part 2 to the last presentation, which will provide a legislative update, why the legislation has been enacted but not been put into force of law, pros and cons of the legislation, and what owners/contractors can do now to prepare for this expected, and significant, legislative change.
While it’s not clear when the Construction Prompt Payment and Adjudication Act will take effect, it is clear the Act will change the game in New Brunswick’s construction sector when it does.
